FLORIDA SCHOOL BOARD CUTS FUNDING FOR BOY SCOUTS FOR ANTI-GAY POSITION
School board blocks grant over gay discrimination: MyFoxTAMPABAY.com
The Pinellas County School Board decided last Tuesday to cut ties with the Boy Scout program, the subsidiary program, called “Learning for Life,” will no longer receive funding and support for local officials. The nationwide program, which was founded in 1992, is intended to teach students important values like personal responsibility, respect, honesty and fairness. On the “Learning for Life” web site, the following mission is given:
“To develop and deliver engaging, research based academic, character, leadership and career focused programs aligned to state and national standards that guide and enable all students to achieve their full potential.”
Commentary: Here at the Christian Republic we continue to document the different ways that Morality whether through Faith or just a good old American program like the Boy Scouts is under constant attack for wanting to stay true to their origins.
The minority have gained positions of power, such as those who sit on this school board and lay in wait for their opportunity, not to help our children but to push an agenda of desegregating our society from Faith and morality.
Although we may have nothing against a person who is gay, our scriptures (not just the Bible) tell us that homosexuality is not acceptable. The pro-gay crowd knows that they can’t change our minds socially, so they are resorting to strong arm tactics such as this to push the gay lifestyle on society. These are the Boy Scouts for God’s sake! Why would we ever accept alternate and controversial lifestyles to be on display for our children to be subject to?
Our society is being forced into unacceptable change. We can no longer share Jesus on campuses across America, but some schools are teaching the gay lifestyle in these same schools.
This is not being done without a purpose; it is intentional and if we, the Christians of this country do nothing, this problem will continue to grow and one day it will overwhelm us. Then we will lose our freedom to worship as this President and Congress continue to implement unconstitutional laws and programs that restrict our freedoms. Stand up before all is lost and be counted. God in America is counting on us to be bold like Paul and speak the truth!
